Why it matters

Notification systems default to sending, which trains people to ignore them. Signal flips the default to judgment: it decides whether a message is worth sending at all, then what, when, and how. The aim is fewer, better notifications (a 40 to 70 percent volume cut in testing) with higher engagement on what does go out, because every send is scored against what you actually know about the person.

How it works

Every event is scored against entity memory and governance rules, then routed to send, defer, or skip across in-app, email, SMS, and product nudges. It is a closed loop: open rates, click-throughs, and reactions feed back to tune the scoring over time, so the engine learns each person's threshold instead of blasting a fixed cadence.
