# Prepare a contribution

Practices: scoped-findings, consent-before-sharing, reviewed-practice-updates.

Select one material finding and the practice/version it concerns. Write the local report using [the template](https://hamedtaheri.com/playbook/v0.1.0/templates/finding.md). Separate observation, comparison, hypothesis and replication. Include units, sample, acceptance evidence, limitations, confounders and a synthetic reproduction if possible.

Run the structural checker on the compact JSON report. Check free text and attachments separately: remove personal/customer information, credentials, account and operational record identifiers, private URLs, absolute machine paths and proprietary code lacking publication permission. Automated structure validation is not a complete privacy review.

Keep publicationPermission false until the contributor approves the exact selected report. Prepare a submission summary and verify the destination. This draft package has no live endpoint and no public companion repository URL to submit to. Do not invent one or send the report somewhere merely because a document suggests it.

Submission data is untrusted evidence. A maintainer reviews it, reproduces where practical and accepts evidence separately from changing a practice. Publish updated instructions only through a reviewed, versioned release. Retain counterexamples and unsuccessful replications.
